Business community urges Islamabad, Kabul to simplify goods’ checking at Torkham

PESHAWAR: To boost bilateral trade and remove impediments between Kabul and Islamabad, both were urged by the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Engr Maqsood Anwar Pervaiz to simplify the checking process of loaded vehicles at the Torkham border.

It the duty of both the countries to take pragmatic measures that not only accelerate trade but also the checking and clearing process of loaded trucks at Torkham by strengthening the Torkham border management to amicably resolve problems of exporters and importers, said the SCCI Chief.

He also urged Prime Minister Imran Khan to ensure improvement in management system at the Torkham border the overcome the delay in checking processes and to ease the difficulties of the business community.
