COVID-19 Vaccination Guidelines and Procedures

COVID-19 vaccination drive of the government has entered its third month. The government is making its utmost effort to extend the vaccination services in every part of the country. In the latest move, the government has opened registrations for citizens above 18 years to control the rising cases of COVID-19 and immunise the citizens.

Graana.com highlights the eligibility criteria and explains the registration procedure for the vaccination of the masses so that they can be immunised.

 

Who is eligible for vaccination?

Every citizen who is above the age of 18 years and holds the National Identity Card (NIC) can register for vaccination. In the initial phase of the vaccination drive, citizens above 60 years were inoculated; however, the government has extended vaccination services to all age groups above 19 years with time.

 

Registration Procedure

To register for COVID-19 vaccination, follow these simple steps:

  •         An individual is required to send their CNIC number to 1166 from its mobile, or they can also register at nims.nadra.gov.pk
  •         After sending the SMS, the sender will receive a confirmation message regarding the registration.
  •         The PIN code, date and further information regarding the vaccination centre will be informed through another text message.
  •         In the second shot, a message from 1166 will be received after three weeks of getting the first shot.

 

Walk-In Vaccination

The government has also introduced a walk-in vaccination facility for citizens above the age of 30. Citizens over the age of 30 can send their CNIC numbers to 1166 for registration and get themselves vaccinated by walking into the nearest vaccination centre.

 

Guidelines at Vaccination Center

Once an individual has walked into the vaccination centre, he/she needs to follow the following guidelines:

  •         The individual must visit the helpdesk to fill the form for the CNIC and PIN verification.
  •         After getting verified, the individual must move to the next counter for registration in the national database.
  •         Once data has been entered into the database, the individual must proceed to the vaccination counter for the vaccination.
  •         After getting the vaccination shot, the individual will be required to stay for 30 minutes for monitoring.

  •         Polyclinic Hospital
  •         Citizen Club F-9 Mass Vaccination Center

Once an individual has walked into the vaccination centre, he/she needs to follow the following guidelines:

  •         Pakistan Kidney and Liver Research Institute
  •         LDA Sports Complex Minar e Pakistan
