CPECA to ensure timely completion of projects: PM

ISLAMABAD: To ensure the uninterrupted completion of projects, Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced to set up China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Authority (CPECA)

Being a joint venture between Pakistan and China, CPECA would play an important role that will ensure coordination among the departments and timely completion of the projects, informed PM Imran Khan.

Communications Minister Murad Saeed, Energy Minister Umar Ayub, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Nadeem Babar, the Chairman Board of Investment, secretaries of relevant ministries, chief secretaries of Punjab and Balochistan and additional secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also attended this meeting.

Planning and Development Minister Khusro Bakhtiyar gave a detailed briefing to the Prime Minister on the CPEC projects related to infrastructure, energy, railways and information.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister also briefed on the completion of Multan-Sukkar Motorway, which will soon be inaugurated by him. The Prime Minister has also approved the digitalisation of Pakistan Television transmission.
