Industrial workers allotted flats in Labour Colony, Nankana Sahib: CM Punjab

Lahore: Inauguration of a labour colony in Warburton area of Nankana Sahib was held today. Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar distributed allotment letters amongst industrial workers for 208 flats. Construction of labour colonies will happen in all districts. Allotment of 1189 flats of labour colonies will be soon initiated in Lahore and Multan.

CM visited the colony for facility inspection and also launched Sehat Insaf Card Scheme with its respective distribution. During his address, he announced the allocation of 70-acre land for Baba Guru Nanak University. It will be made part of the next fiscal year’s development programme. Punjab Minister for Labour Ansar Majeed Niazi said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had announced policy on provincial labour. Initiatives on labour welfare have also been introduced.

The district will also have a district jail, Nadra office, police lines and a new land record center. Fixed minimum wages for trained and un-trained workers will be fixed at Rs17,000 to Rs19,000 and Rs16,500 respectively.
