Proposals sought from firms for Islamabad’s master plan revision

Islamabad: Federal government formed commission has decided upon seeking proposals from both national and international firms in order to carry out revisions of Islamabad’s blueprints. The meeting was held at the CDA headquarters under the chairmanship of Amer Ali Ahmed.

The meeting decided to float advertisements in newspapers in order to get reputable firms hired as to engage a consultant timely. A guide report for the consultant and the federal government will be finalized by the commission before July 13. It will then be shared with the consultant as to revise the capital’s blueprint for the first time in 59 years in accordance with the mentioned directions.

Once hired, the consultant will be given a time period of 210 days for carrying out related studies on environment, sewerage, constructions, traffic, schools in residential areas, water and other civic matters, said CDA spokesperson Syed Sardar Ali.
