Wedding halls in Islamabad agree on regularization with CDA

Islamabad: A single member bench of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) comprising Justice Amir Farooq stopped the Capital development Authority (CDA) from demolishing wedding halls in Islamabad.

The wedding hall owners had filed an application against CDA saying they were ready to regularize their wedding halls however the registration fee charged to halls in rural areas of the city was unjustified.

In regards to the issuance of stay order by wedding halls, Justice Farooq issued the stay order sought and adjourned the case until May 21.

The court has directed CDA to merge all such related cases.
